So fall is officially here! It's a date I always remember because the start of the fall AKA September 22nd it's also my sisters birthday. So happy fall everyone! I'm ready for this weather, all the seasonal foods and of course, I'm ready to say good-bye to all the bugs!
Even though the weather wasn't been that chilly I'm just so happy for all the seasonal foods, they bring me so much comfort! All the spices bring a delightful warm into my heart, do you feel the same way?
On the other side we went to celebrate my sisters birthday to a sushi place, I ordered a spicy tuna and it was delicious although I hate that restaurants don't serve enough veggies! But besides that I had a wonderful time with my sister and my mom, dad couldn't make it because of his work. It's probably my sisters last "normal" birthday celebrating with all of us for a long time since she is started her medical residency next year! I'm so excited for her on this new step of her career.
Normally I prepare some type of dessert on my family members birthday but my sister is very picky about it (and I respect that) so we went to get her favorite chocolate cake, and we gave her more chocolate bars, in her own wise words, "There's never enough chocolate in my life."
I didn't bake a cake this weekend but I did baked a delicious sweet potato bread using my sweet potato flour and if you'll like to try it use my code PUREHL for 20% off your purchase. And my favorite nut butter, pili nut butter instead of using coconut oil or ghee. Pili nut added a delicious flavor and goof source of healthy fats packed with some essential minerals like manganese and copper.
The recipe is so easy and perfect to pair with a cozy drink under a blanket while watching a movie! And with only 8.8 grams of carbs 5.6 grams net carbs per serving.
