Double Cheese Spicy Turkey Bites (Keto, Gluten Free, Primal)

This one goes for all my cheese and comfort food lovers out there. Can we agree that there's something about that ground meats and cheese? They can turn anything into something spectacular.

Well, these were no different from every other cheese situation. And these are perfect for meal prep, freezer friendly and mess free recipe. Also, if you've got picky eaters at home, these turkey bites will hit the spot!

In this recipe I used some Power Provisions Broccoli and Cheddar Keto Bone Broth, these have been on repeat during the quarantine season because they are so easy to prepare, they've got clean ingredients and I really enjoy the taste. Code: PURELYHL for 15% off!

Broccoli and Cheddar was the first one the caught my eye. This is such a fun combination, don't you think? It was just when I was watching the series Desperate Housewives when I discovered the combination of cheddar cheese and veggies.

In one of the episodes one of the nannies manage to get the picky eating twins, boys from Lynette, to eat brussels sprouts, the secret was the cheese. BRILLIANT! My only advice as a nutritionist is that she should be getting organic pastured raised of course!

I can't put aside my inner nutritionist even while watching series (sorry not sorry!), the thing is that cheese provide us with calcium, protein, riboflavin, among others. And actually I was just reading a Washington Post about those twins of Desperate Housewives.

Apparently they had ADHD, and some studies speculate some following a gluten-free and casein-free diet may help improve behavior and cognition, but still, just a speculation since other studies show no difference. This is why it's important to work with a nutritionist, or other specialist!

Anyways, that was just a fun fact. Once you got into that rabbit hole of studies is hard to get out and stop talking about that nerdy stuff. But this is a RECIPE BLOGPOST! So let's get back to business.

This recipe is:

- Keto Friendly

- Gluten Free

- Meal Prep Friendly

- Freezer Friendly

- Mess Free

- Comforting

This is all I look for in a recipe, a very easy peasy recipe thats just requires a few steps and the most minimal kitchen tools. Just a bowl, a muffin cup container of twelve and my oven. That's it.

If you really don't want to do any dishes I suggest you to use some silicone muffin cups (the easiest to clean!) or grease your metal muffin container with some coconut oil or butter.

For the spicy touch I included roasted poblano peppers that in my perspective, my Mexican, hot food lover perspective is not that spicy. Probably poblano peppers or hatch chiles fit into the category of mild spice. Plus roasting them really helps to reduce that fuego in them.

Oh yes...double cheese!

In this recipe we are getting the double cheesiness from the cheddar bone broth with that touch of broccoli, plus I added half of cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Totally irresistible! Each bites has 10.8 grams of protein, the full nutritional information is below!

Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did! I paired these with some epic salad bowl for a quick easy lunch or dinner! You could also pair them with some eggs for breakfast, the ideas are endless!
