Fist time baking donuts with sour cream and the results were extremely pleasing! These donuts are moist, flavorful, made with healthier ingredients (sugar-free and gluten-free) and not to mention they are so delicious and easy to make, you are going to love this recipe!


These are my iconic Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Donuts, made with the best and simplest ingredients, no need to complications or a lot of messy dishes to create this recipe and to enjoy a healthy meal!

This recipe overall is low carb, low sugar, gluten free and of course, delicious. I used the Organic Sour Cream from Kalona SuperNatural as my secret ingredient that will make this recipe so moist and extra moist... hard to say no to this one!


This is just a great snack to make anytime of the year! It's an unmissable recipe that everyone will love and will also nourish your body... since Kalona is made from from grass-fed cows on small family farms who practice regenerative farming, Non- homogenized, low temp pasteurized dairy- as closest to raw milk as possible.

This recipe was something that I wanted to try for a while now because seeing all the amazing recipes made with sour cream... and of course, along some low carb chocolate chip pancake mix that makes this recipe so much easier!

Feel free to to use your favorite low carb sweetener, I used monk fruit but I also love using abullone or stevia for my baked goods; always a staple in my baking pantry for sure, and essential for healthier desserts.


And for the mix used for the bread pudding, I simply used Kalona SuperNatural Organic Sour Cream, a game changer to make it moist, creamy and of course even more delicious than regular donut recipes.

Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Donuts

Serves 9 donuts


Ingredients

Donuts

  • 2 cups (210g) of low carb chocolate chip pancake mix

  • 1/4 tsp of cardamom

  • 1/2 cup of granulated monk fruit

  • 2 organic eggs

  • 1/2 cup of Kalona SuperNatural Organic Sour Cream

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cup of powdered monk fruit

  • 3 tbsp of unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 375F.

  2. Mix all the dry ingredients for the donuts and then mix in the wet ingredients.

  3. Pour the batter into 9 silicone donut molds and bake for 22-24 minutes.

  4. Mix the ingredients for the glaze and once donuts are bake cover them in the glaze.

  5. Enjoy!
