Paleo Hot Fudge Cake (Dairy Free, Low Carb)

Chocolate is a whole year thing but holiday season calls for some special chocolate recipes, just like this one! Hot fudge, a must for those cold days and a one that creates lots of memories, I always remember my mom giving us hot fudge drinks when the weather was cold.

In this occasion I created a healthy and less inflammatory version of hot fudge, without all the refined flours, oils and sugars. But still keeping a delicious taste... all in this cake!

Well, this recipe is also super easy to make so anyone, no matter their skill levels can do this amazing recipes. A no brainer and fail proof, just mix all the ingredients, bake and make sure you oven is at the right temperature... and the cake the right amount.

Okay, so this Paleo Fudge Cake consists of:

That's it! Extremely simple ingredients as you can see, and soon you'll also notice that the method is also super easy. Easy, healthy and delicious cake! Great to bake for your loved ones during this holiday season, specially those who have different dietetic needs or specifications.

This cake is:

  • Gluten free

  • Low carb

  • Paleo

  • Keto friendly

  • Easy to make

  • Mess free

Yes, mess free is also a very important part for me, specially during this holiday season! Ain't nobody got time to clean when you can have that time to enjoy some company or self-care. For this recipe you are only going to use one bowl!

You can also keep these on your freezer for a quick easy treat or snack. I love heating them inside my mini oven for a couple of minutes or in the microwave for 45 seconds.

A great way to pair these Paleo Hot Fudge Cake is with some coffee, a good latte, or with some ricotta cheese with some monk fruit to keep it sweet. It's just a great afternoon snack, I enjoyed these after my dinner.

The beauty of using the ingredients here go beyond taste and just being paleo friendly but they also provide amazing micro nutrients such as Vitamin A and healthy fatty acids from ghee, vitamin D and choline from eggs, fiber from coconut flour and antioxidants from the cacao.

To keep it sweet I always love using granulated monk fruit, because it gives just the perfect sweetness without all the glycemic index impact and the weird bitter aftertaste, plus you can get a discount on Lakanto's website when you use the code PURELYHL.

Okay, so the steps of this cake! Ready, this is going to be probably the most easy made from scratch cake you'll ever make and with all the amazing flavor of chocolate!

Easy peasy cake:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350F.

  2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a deep bowl.

  3. Add ghee, eggs, cacao milk and water and stir well.

  4. Pour the mix into a greased cake baking dish.

  5. Top with chocolate chips.

  6. Bake for 35 minutes.

  7. Let it cool and enjoy!

As you can see, this was extremely easy and just perfect for this holiday season... and all the chocolate lovers! What a great way to get those antioxidants in, don't you agree?

With love,

María
