This is extremely easy to make and extremely flavorful! The ingredients are simple and short, and the process of making these is just as minimal and easy, you'll be surprised... your guests and their tastebuds! This recipe is perfect no matter the occasion but I wanted to add a little fun twist by using mozzarella cheese, habanero sauce and, of course, tilapia.

As I mentioned earlier, I used Eat Royo (PURELYHL for discount) low carb buns which are super versatile and made with just simple ingredients, perfect for your burgers, this one for sure! The seasonings included in this recipe are real salt, black pepper, garlic powder and some habanero sauce.


I used tilapia, cooked and then shredded, although you can use sustainanle canned ones or your favorite cooked fish! As a nutritionist I know that healthy eating should be sustainable and convenient without sacrificing any taste.

This are easy to make, moist, flavorful and so addicting! I'm obsessed, and since I have always been a fan of mozzarella cheese with habanero sauce, all in t burger... juicy and flavorful, this recipe is definitely a winner!


Gosh! It was good. It's such an easy comfort food; saucy, warm and with a nice kick of that habanero sauce and the mozzarella cheese slices.

I enjoyed mine for dinner or lunch, alone and by the forkful in a big bowl of those veggies and of course, my low carb bun as well! A recipe worth making again no matter the season, perfect to share with your friends and family!

Cheesy & Spicy Habanero Tilapia Burger

Serves 4 servings


Ingredients

For the burgers

  • 4 cooked and shredded tilapia fillets

  • 1/2 of egg whites (or more depending on the size of your tilapia)

  • 1 tsp of garlic

  • 1 tsp of taco seasoning

  • 1/8 tsp of black pepper

  • 2 tbsp of habanero sauce

To assemble the burgers

  • 4 low carb burgers buns (used Eat Royo- PURELYHL for discount)

  • 1 cup of leafy greens

  • 1 sliced tomato

  • 8 slices of mozzarella cheese slices

  • 4 tbsp of garlic spread


Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the burgers in a bowl until fully incorporated. Spray 4 small burger size baking dishes or create the shape with your hands.

  2. Air fry for 18 minutes at 350F. Or bake for 28 minutes at 355F.

  3. Assemble the burgers and enjoy!
