Baklava Oatmeal Bars

Serves 9 bars


Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup of oats

  • 1/2 cup of coconut flour

  • 1 tsp of baking soda

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1/3 cup of BeeNZ Manuka Honey

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 3 drops of orange essential oil

  • 1/3 cup of of ghee (or butter)

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 2 tbsp of crushed walnuts

  • 2 tbsp of crushed pistachios

Toppings

  • 1 tbsp of crushed dried rose petals

  • 2 tbsp of crushed walnuts

  • 2 tbsp of crushed pistachios


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 350F.

  2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

  3. Add the melted ghee, honey, vanilla and eggs. Mix well.

  4. Pour the batter into a 8x8 silicone baking silicone.

  5. Top with nuts.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes.

  7. Let it cool down, decorate with rose petals and slice into 9 bars.
